When I first learned about Plurk, I signed up and participated… A LOT. I got traffic to my blogs, websites, and articles. I made new friends and contacts. And then I realized that I was spending too much time on the site. I wasn’t getting anything done! I knew that if I wanted to reach my goals that I had to do something drastic. So I canceled my account.
For people who work at home, social sites like Plurk and Twitter can be our biggest friends. They can help get us traffic, clients, purchases to our products, etc. But it is possible to experience too much of a good thing. There are so many sites out there. In order to make any of them successful you DO need to find a considerable amount of time to maintain it.
I’ve learned a lot in my absence from Plurk. I understand how to make it work without tying up my entire day. And, it’s nice to connect with all the people I met while there before. I was kohuether then. That name is gone forever. Now, I am kohuether2. I would love for you to join my list of friends!
